About this property

Welcome to Premier Inn Edinburgh A7 (Dalkeith) hotel

```html
Premier Inn Edinburgh A7 (Dalkeith) hotel is a modern budget property located off the A7, opposite Melville golf centre in Lasswade, just under 7 miles from central Edinburgh and around 7.4 miles from Pentland Hills regional park. It offers straightforward accommodation with double and family rooms, making it suitable for both solo travellers and families looking for a practical place to stay.
The hotel features an on-site pub-style restaurant where guests can enjoy meals, along with free parking on the premises. While the food and service are generally well regarded, some visitors have noted that the menu options in the restaurant may be more limited compared to other Premier Inn locations. The front desk staff have received positive mentions for friendly and helpful service, although the overall maintenance of the property has been described as somewhat average.
Rooms provide essential amenities with some guests recommending the upgrade to a Premier Plus room for additional features such as a mini fridge and coffee machine. Noise levels have been noted as an issue by a few guests, particularly from road traffic or building systems, so light sleepers might want to request quieter room locations when booking.
The hotel's location is convenient for those with business or leisure interests near Bilston Glen and the A7 corridor. It is also within easy reach of major Edinburgh attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Edinburgh Airport is about a 27-minute drive, offering reasonable access for travellers flying in and out of the city.
Lovely welcome from receptionist..( I checked in Sunday 4th of jan at 3pm ) room 1) .very friendly and helpful and cosy reception area .Room at first glance was great clean functional everything you would need .nice and warm on a very cold night .only down side was the constant noise overnight ,neither of us are light sleepers but this was awful ...it may have been a boiler switching on and off and also we could clearly hear the room above ours toilet water running constanly .sad really because everything else was perfect for us ..infact the mattress was amazing .
We paid for a Premier Plus room as we were staying for a few days, honestly its worth the bit of extra money for what you get compared to a standard room, the main differences being the mini fridge and coffee machine and large desk with a nice armchair. The restraunt was nice and the service was great, although the menu is a bit more limited than other Premier inns I have visited. The reception staff were all courteous and happy to help, the premium wifi is a bit of a faff to connected to however with you needing to enter new passwords each day and only being able to connect 3 devices. All in all a very good experience.
Booked room for 4 nights and phoned hotel and asked for a room at the rear due to car park and road noise. They gave us an upstairs front room with the air con locked on heating only so had to try and sleep with the window open. Quite a lot of road noise. This hotel is used by a lot of workmen so early morning noise (6am)is the norm.
Hi Folks. We’d just like to thank Ang, Donna, Natalie & fellow staff, for their terrific service during our two night stay. We had quite a deal to organise while packing for our trip back to Australia, after an extended time in the UK. They helped in many ways and we’d like to say how much we appreciated their positive attitude & solutions to several challenges, thanks again, hope the books, gumboots etc prove to be useful !! Thanks again. Scotty & Katy.
Typical Premier Inn with a pub/restaurant on site. Easy to get to from all major routes. Staff are great but very thin on the ground. Seems to be a thing with all Premier Inns these days. Same with the maintenance, many sites are getting run down. This is no exception. Dinner deals are ok. But we couldn't get a drink as the 'pub' side of the operation was non existent.
